Therapeutic approaches for polycystic kidney disease (PKD) have largely been focused on eliminating cysts. Remadevi et al. demonstrate that fibrosis is a promising therapeutic target for PKD that can reduce kidney scarring and preserve kidney function. doi.org/10.1172/jci....

scRNAseq is tough in clinical settings, partly bc of $$ but also bc PBMC preps require 2 hrs of labor for each patient. We optimized a method that reduces this to <10 min at the bedside, with all the cell isolation work done in batch post-thaw at a centralized facility. Now out in @insight.jci.org
