🧬 New study in Nature Communications: Czech scientists uncovered a mechanism behind a rare neurodevelopmental disorder linked to EHMT2 variants. CCP created and characterised a mouse model carrying the patient-specific variant, supporting future research into disease mechanisms and therapies.

🧬 Session 7 at the #CCPConference: from gene discovery to targeted therapy. Carlo Rivolta explored the genetics of inherited retinal diseases, while David Staněk showed how patient-derived models enabled targeted ASO correction of a pathogenic PRPF31 splicing mutation. 👁️

We were happy to host the winning schools of the Hejbni vědou project by Asgent at CCP. Jan Procházka (Deputy Director) introduced CCP with just a marker and a whiteboard, to prove we didn’t prepare anything with AI 🙂, followed by a lab tour offering a closer look at real-world biomedical research.
