The invisible labor (often performed by women and marginalized folks) that keeps organizations afloat remains hidden and uncompensated. But those musing about AI's "transformation" of work have probably always benefited from this kind of labor in all parts of their life and don't see it as work.

Walking around in the bush with my head down again this morning. I’m absolutely in love with the gills on this mushroom. I think it might be a type of oysterling. 🍄🌿
Looking at the underside of a frilly oyster mushroom. The different lobes overlap, each other kind of like a nudibranch, it’s tan gills form, beautiful, ripping patterns.

Responding to project inquiries is a lesson in emotional regulation. Did I respond too quickly? Too slowly? Did they dislike the amount of questions I asked? Are they miffed that I didn't provide a quote immediately? Did someone else respond faster? It's almost always a molehill and not a mountain.

Took the kayak down the Icelandic river to where it hits Lake Winnipeg. Most of the evening, the sky was quite dull, and then it exploded.
A brilliant red and deep orange sunset streaks across the sky behind the silhouettes of a small clump of trees in the middle of a field. All of this is reflected, almost perfectly in the water in the foreground. Taken from a kayak.
