The carers in the One Foot in the Grave episode ‘Hearts of Darkness’ are watching ‘Bottom Digger.’ And this is the very exciting bit: one of the carers is played by Nick Scott, AKA Skullcrusher Henderson from ‘Bottom Dough.’

I love it! Very similar to Ted, and well worth a watch! (Though I don’t think the first episode with Kevin Eldon is quite as good so don’t be put off.)

Really enjoyed this! I watched ‘Ted’ in my teens in the same way that I watched Blackadder in my …10s to slightly earlier teens. Not sure if it’s worth noting but Graham did write and direct the first series of Big Train. In my view the better series. For Arthur alone, have you seen Hippies?

I was listening to the Adam Buxton episode of the excellent Failing Writers podcast, and I didn’t remember the Adam & Joe book, so I thought I’d get myself a second hand copy! Anyway it turns out that, no, I won’t be doing that. @failingwriters.bsky.social
