I don't think people are ready for how loathed Biden will be if we lose democracy this cycle. Hasn't even really tried to fight against the authoritarian assault, a moral failure in Gaza, couldn't go the distance physically, wasted a month of the campaign refusing to step down.

A classic KHiver rhetorical hypocrisy when the criticism came from a self declared feminist who gave a congressional honor to a violent man against black women and an incompetent sellout

when you actually probe a khiver to get out of them what they actually believe, it's basically just revenge. Revenge against anyone they perceive as not giving them enough respect or deference, which just so happens to make them incredibly tribal and *unimaginably* racist

you wanna have a little fun? next time you're talking to one of these freaks, ask them whether they think miscegenation is bad or not, then watch them get really evasive or give you an answer that might as well have come out of the mouth of a grand wizard

i hammer this point home rather regularly: khivers occupy almost the exact same niche that old white dixiecrats did, right down to the hard reactionary bent and general belief that the democratic party "belongs" to them and this gives them the right to abuse and bully everyone else

khivers do not want revenge against chuds. they want revenge against leftists, uppity queer people, arabs in general, basically anyone who doesn't humor them wanting the democratic party to basically be the American DMK with them or their proxies given deferential treatment

Vote Blue No Matter Who!!! Except Abdul El Sayed and progressives. Look at the glee that some in the Dem establishment are showing over a Fox poll that reveals he's down 4 points. They'll gladly lose Michigan to tell everyone to their left, "See? Go centrist!" Everything to hold on to power.

Centrist orgs like Third Way aren't afraid that a progressive will lose the general in 2028. They're afraid that they'll win www.nytimes.com/2026/08/06/u...
screenshot from New York Times in reader mode because an ugly ad was breaking up the paragraphs"
“We are preparing for the next war that is coming,” said Jonathan Cowan, the president of Third Way, a leading centrist Democratic group, revealing to The New York Times a new $15 million effort between now and 2028 to discredit democratic socialism.
Dr. El-Sayed’s win was not the blowout that some pre-election polls had predicted. But his narrow nomination in one of the country’s signature swing states still represented a critical moment for the party’s middle, which had previously sought to cast the far left’s successes as contained within the country’s most urban and liberal corridors.
**Their fear: Dr. El-Sayed was paving a path for a progressive to seize the party’s presidential nomination in 2028 — and then go on to lose the general election.**

Voters are sick of the 2-party system. A new poll shows they're open to big changes
A new poll shows support for moving the U.S. toward proportional representation, a system that elects multiple representatives in a single district in rough proportion to a party's vote share.

They will win despite themselves. They have done so little, especially those already in office. The real discussion of change comes from the people who aren't yet in office. And of course from the grassroots.
If we survive Trump, Dems will run up huge numbers in 2026 and 2028, like 2006 and in 2008. But if the next President doesn't govern like FDR, broad reforms, corruption prosecutions, and landmark legislation, we end up right back here. Wining isn't enough. Dems have to change things.

Mid-term mission for the Democrats at this point is to obstruct Trump's worst impulses. The mission for 2028 is to present cohesive visions of our institutions to the voters, and then implement those visions. People want more than just going back to what we had pre-Trump.
