A man builds an IED. He sets it off in a busy public street. Shrapnel flies about hitting cars, homes and a child's bedroom. It's a miracle nobody is injured. And Reform MP Sarah Pochin calls his imprisonment "disproportionate" and "two tier justice."
It does raise this point of two-tiered
justice..

Reform's Sarah Pochin believes the

The ability to pour hundreds of millions of pounds into a loss-making TV channel, bent on wrenching British politics sharply to the right, is yet another of the ways in which extreme wealth is trying to remake UK democracy. It needs to be part of any serious conversation about political funding.

Farage says Reform UK's bank
account has suspended several
times, claiming this shows money
laundering rules too strict
Nigel Farage, the Reform UK leader, has
revealed that his party's bank account has
been frozen several times.

In an interview with the BBC's political
editor, Chris Mason, Farage said this was
evidence Britain has become a
"complainant society' where too much
time is spent in investigating unfounded
allegations.

Farage was responding to a question
about why - as the Sunday Times revealed
in July - Reform UK had its bank account
frozen for two weeks ahead of the 2024
general election over concerns about
potentially illegal donations.

Chris Mason (BBC) reports on his “interview” with Nigel Farage. It’s not an interview. It’s an idiotic, moany rant from Farage about how he’s being picked on cos he reckons he’s a threat to the establishment. And Mason just folds like a wet cardboard box in the face of this delusional bollox.
Farage pictured with his innocent face on… (it’s hideous - my opinion)

Nigel Farage insists he's 'broken no rules'He added: "The point is, we live in a complainants' society. If you complain about me, automatically that triggers an investigation."
He said that political parties were "constantly writing to all the authorities", meaning Reform was "under investigation every day for virtually everything we do".
"There's a big picture here. The old two-party system that has dominated since the end of the First World War feels for the first time it faces an existential threat.
"There is a whole ecosystem with a century of development around this. And we come along from virtually nowhere and threaten the whole thing.”

Deeply unpleasant and unpopular extremist rules out making pact with the party she ditched for not being sufficiently fascist. Despite being their Home Secretary twice, somehow it was everyone else who betrayed the country. Just hurry up down the drain, you utterly dismal people. (iPaper)
Braverman U-turns on desire to unite right

By Frankie Lister-Fell
Suella Braverman has U-turned on her desire to unite the right with a coalition between Reform UK and the Conservatives.
The former home secretary de-
fected to Reform in January this year, joining the more right-wing party as education spokesperson.
Despite criticising the Tories, she had proposed for the two parties to join forces to defeat the left.
And Reform leader Nigel Farage, having historically wanted to wipe r out the Conservatives, kept the suggestion open as a possibility. When
••
questioned on whether the parties would form a pact or coalition in
April, he said "let's see".
But on Saturday, Braverman denied
any chance of the two parties working together.
She told The Times: "The Conservative Party utterly betrayed the British people. They promised to do whatever it would take to stop the boats. The boats were not stopped.
"There's so many issues that the Conservative Party now agrees with me on, whether it's banning the hate marches, leaving the European Convention on Human Rights [to stop the small boats], cutting visas, but
it basically takes the Conservative Party too long to get it. And I'm more impatient than that."
The Tories, on the other hand, had already rejected the idea. Last Sat-urday, party leader Kemi Badenoch said during an interview with broadcaster lain Dale at the Edinburgh Fringe festival that a coalition would be "monstrous"
She said it would "put as many people off as it gains"
, adding that
Reform is "fighting all the time"
Badenoch said: "Nigel Farage die-tates what he wants depending on what he had for breakfast that day, and they're all over the place. How do I work with people like that?"
Braverman had also ruled out making a deal with right-wing contenders Restore Britain before the next election. Earlier this month, Farage said he was "open-minded" about working with Restore, which was founded by Rupert Lowe who was kicked out of Reform last year.

"Nearly a third of all 43,000 posts on X relating to the two incidents contained racist or anti-immigration comments. Almost one in 10 relating to Belfast contained calls for violence or paramilitary or vigilante action.

Imran Ahmed, the chief executive of the Centre for Countering Digital Hate, said the data demonstrated that X had become “a weapon of choice” for hostile foreign actors seeking to manipulate shocking and divisive content.

Their goal, he added, was “to amplify local tragedies and crises, intensify racist narratives, and incite violence in communities they have never set foot in and to whom they have no real connection.”"
