An AI only week in all of my courses. We explore ethical dilemmas, use cases, problems, and successes. Students use AI to refine previous assignments, generate citations, and experiment with limitations. It's all done in the classroom so I can facilitate discussions around the activities.

I have students in a second year computer science choose their tools including if they used AI. They do a reflection on the use of the tools with some specific questions, and if they didn’t use AI the questions are about where they think AI might have helped.

I have an assignment which asks students to give AI an essay prompt for a certain umber of words. Then they hand in that answer with the prompt and an essay assessing the AI answer using materials from the course. I also do a lecture on race & gender bias in AI before this assignment. #Academicsky

My colleague Michael McSheehan summarizes #UDL better than anyone I know: "Instead of asking if the learner is ready for the lesson, UDL asks if the lesson is ready for the learner."
