What’s insane is that shit is Econ 101. I had to take a couple Econ classes as part of my statistics degree and one of the first things they mention is that the rational consumer doesn’t exist and assuming as such is a one way trip to your models failing.

One thing (among many) that annoyed me the most is it felt like this game was wishy washy about committing to being an Electrosphere prequel. The timeline for it is perfect and the game kept hinting at it and then never executed on any of it.

I saw King Gizzard released a new album with an absolutely incredible cover, but was hit with a wave of skepticism. I had to look it up and found not only is it not AI, it is something they physically built and photographed, which, hey that's great. But that initial feeling of skepticism sucks ass.

The cluelessness of this reminds me a lot of the NFT grift. The thing about NFTs was that it was mainly something finance bros were into, and when they were trying to worm their way into gaming, their pitches were an abyssal trench of bad ideas because they couldn't grasp why people played games.
