People are misinterpreting this because of Trump’s fractured speaking style, which continues to worsen with dementia. “This is a very small price to pay” refers to gas prices. “Let them…” means, “wait til they nuke a US city, then gas prices won’t seem so important.”

Article 1 is Congress. The presidency comes second, in Article 2, and explicitly requires the president to faithfully execute the law as passed by Congress. But that structure implies that the president can break laws without consequence. Or, well, at least this one can. -Sam Alito, paraphrased

Remember that the purpose of this "incredible" Venezuela raid was not to achieve anything good for Venezuelans or Americans. The purpose was to steal Venezuela's oil for the Trump Crime Family and put the proceeds into Trump's private bank account in Qatar.
“If you look at the Venezuela raid, it is incredible what occurred there,” former Army Secretary Dan Driscoll tells me with justifiable pride in his first interview since resigning in August. “In human history, there are very few militaries that could have pulled that off.”

The irony of course is that Originalism’s big selling point was supposed to be constraining the discretion or judges to impose their own political preferences as law. In practice the effect has been very much the reverse: Liberating justices from the constraints of stare decisis.
