In the next few months I will produce a long piece on the CCA component of NGAD. The USAF'S NGAD concept is sound, so long as CCA can perform. Currently, we are acting as if it is appropriate for the job. I strongly believe the current concept of operations is deeply flawed, and thus also the drones

look, man. this might be controversial around these parts but it is okay to say that Miller is evil without saying that we have somehow given China reasons to do things. they are going to do it either way. they think Taiwan is rightfully theirs. nothing we do changes that, because it already is.

So there's this ship, the Ise, and the Japanese put planes on it. If we put F-35Bs on the Defiant,--

MiG-23 turn rate🧵 One important fighter aircraft performance parameter, for close range air combat, is turn rate [ω, measured in °/s]. I will be comparing the maximum sustained & instantaneous turning ability of the MiG-23, with that of other contemporary fighters.

Since the end of the Cold War in 1991, the US Navy's ability to conduct air superiority and offensive strikes has been slowly diminishing. Today, we stand at an inflection point, where the F/A-XX program to deliver a new strike fighter to the Navy is in Jeopardy. 🧵
