I love this quote. I’m going to be using it. “How small are you willing to make your world until everyone agrees with you?” Honestly, this one stopped me in my tracks. #ABPoli #ABLeg #cdnpoli Alberta separatism has a story problem open.substack.com/pub/womenofa...
A miniature figure reclines casually in a blue deck chair on top of a giant tennis ball against a bright turquoise background. The image is paired with a quotation by Deirdre Mitchell-MacLean: “How small are you willing to make your world until everyone agrees with you?” The visual humorously suggests someone retreating into a small, self-contained world where everyone agrees with them.

Immigrants Are Alberta's Advantage Premier Danielle Smith is scapegoating immigrants to hide her own failures. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli #NoToTheNine
A bold political graphic on a bright yellow background shows a raised hand with the middle finger extended. Large black text reads, “POINT HER IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION BY VOTING.” On the right, red and black text reads, “VOTE OPTION 1 TO REMAIN IN CANADA” and “NO TO THE NINE OTHER QUESTIONS.” The graphic uses the raised middle finger as a humorous visual reference to directing a political figure while encouraging voters to cast their ballots.

Why young people hate AI even more?
Lincoln Michel

The industry is incapable of any self-reflection, but it should be obvious why this would be the case. Older gens saw Big Tech innovations that changed people's daily lives for the better and/or were at least mixed bags. Personal computers, internet, mp3 players, smart phones, etc. Someone who is 18 has seen.... what? NFT scams and crypto rug pulls. Web 3.0 hype that went nowhere. Gig economy apps that exploit workers and still charge too much for poor service. Zuckerberg's metaverse. A bunch of crap that massively enriched some billionaires without seeming to improve people's lives. Why should any young person look at big tech companies hyping GenAI—who were all pushing metaverse/crypto/etc. a few years ago—and think it would help them?
