It's my first time in Poland, in Katowice for the GIC conference. It's SOoooOOOo freaking hot here (miss Iceland). But outside of that I'm really enjoying it here - and it's lovely to spend time with other game developers too!

Hot take. Expedition 33 is fine but it would be a better game if they put less emphasis on defensive countering. The animations of enemies are so hard to follow and the camera movements make countering really imprecise for something that is critical to your success.

Don't just listen to players. If given the option, they'll optimize the game out of their games, and the story out of their stories. It's our job to filter information and data and feedback into good work, and while we'll sometimes miss it's better than blindly following surveys.
