Good news for renters! B.C. has now seen 25 consecutive months of year-over-year rent decreases, saving the average renter nearly $4000 a year from the peak in 2023.    New data shows average asking rents in B.C. decreased by 4.5% overall year over year, with purpose-built rental rents down 4.1%.

Since our Government rolled out the PTA in 2023, BC’s gender pay gap has dropped from 18% to 14.5%. But there is a lot of work ahead to achieve parity. That’s why we are implementing additional measures this fall to help decrease the gender pay gap.

Exciting to see the US House of Representatives pass this bill to make Daylight Saving Time permanent. BC led the way in adopting permanent DST earlier this year, and I’m glad to see that our American neighbours will be in alignment with us going forward.
