1/2 Having a child with a rare disease is stressful enough. Navigating the system to find answers, support and potential treatments can make it that much harder. Gurmoh Gill’s family has been extraordinary advocates, helping shine a light on the challenges families face.

Vancouver General and BC Children’s Hospital have been ranked among the world’s best specialized hospitals. This recognition shows the strength of BC’s public health-care system and why we’ll keep investing in the people and services that make it even stronger.

1/2 Today our government announced $33 million for Surrey Memorial Hospital to improve emergency and diagnostic care and expand seniors’ services. The BC Conservatives said it themselves: “healthcare would take the brunt of budget cuts.” We can’t afford to let that happen.

A warm welcome to the new doctors and nurse practitioners in Esquimalt. BC offers something that health-care workers around the world value: a public health-care system where access to care is based on need, not ability to pay. We'll keep working to strengthen health care in BC.

Incredibly proud to share that 4.47 million British Columbians are now connected to primary care, that's close to 4000 attachments a week. 700,000 have been attached in the last 3 years alone thanks to focused investment, recruitment, and the stability of BC's health system.

It's that time of year again: backpacks, lunches, and making sure your kids vaccinations are up to date. Measles is making a comeback- not because the vaccine stopped working, but because misinformation has convinced some people not to use it.

With U.S. tariffs & global uncertainty weighing on economies everywhere, we are focused on creating opportunities at home and expanding trade with new markets. And it's paying off: 17,800 new jobs added in July, and unemployment fell to 6.2%, while adding 32,500 FT jobs. 1/2
