We’ve heard from homebuilders across B.C. - they want to build homes, but rising costs are a challenge. Today, we’re making it easier to get homes built by development costs to occupancy with a 25% deposit up front. Lowering the costs of building much needed homes across BC🙌🏾

Canadian provinces, including Ontario, Alberta and BC have experienced an increase in extortion crimes in recent years. I’m asking Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government to take action to designate groups engaged in extortion and related crimes as terrorist entities under the Criminal Code.

Racism has no place in B.C. but we know it exists, and we are determined to continue to fight it in all its forms. One year after its launch, the Province’s racist incident helpline is making a difference with approximately 94% of callers reporting their needs were met.

In 1914, 340 Sikhs, 24 Muslims & 12 Hindus arrived in Canada aboard the Guru Nanak Jahaz (Komagata Maru) looking for a better life. They were turned away and faced persecution & death on their return. Today we remember them and recommit ourselves to justice & human rights.
