Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 5hIt was the same with Lucas. They made up their minds after one early under par performance and ignored subsequent evidence. Constant unfair criticism and blame. Eventually, many of those people wouldn't even own up to having behaved like that. 010
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 5hThere was a whole Russia report on the subject, but Johnson suppressed it as it was inconvenient. I'm sure that Dominic Grieve could speak at length about it. 000
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 7hIt's a shame that the on field ref didn't know that. 😬 000
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 7hInvestment in infrastructure is fine. If a club exists at a certain level solely as a plaything of an owner, what happens if the owner gets bored & takes his money with him? Wages still need to be paid, & if a club doesn't generate enough to survive without the owner's funds it's not sustainable. 100
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 8hClubs should live within their means. Regarding wage caps, it should probably be about 65% of a club's income, to be sustainable. There may be an argument for owners to put in a small top up amount, but not amounts that would lead to problems if the owners leave, or distorting the market. 100
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 8hAre you trying to claim that financial doping to the point where City have won the majority of league titles over the last 15 years is fair to the clubs playing by the rules? City cheated to be in their current position. It's all a sham. It's about adhering to the same rules that everyone else is. 🙄 200
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 9hThat's not their fault though. They didn't set the price. I don't agree with the assessment of Wirtz anyway. He had a slow start last season (for understandable reasons), but he has been fine this season. The team is still gelling, so sometimes things don't work perfectly. Barcola has just arrived. 020
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 9h🙄 They didn't cheat to generate the funds. It's not the same at all. 🙄 #cheats 110
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 9hIt means that they can blame them for everything, just because we paid a lot of money for them. It's pathetic. We played well yesterday, right up until Kavanagh decided that he needed to help City with a dodgy 2nd yellow (the 1st was ridiculous too). The result doesn't reflect how we played at all. 220
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 9hExactly. The first one shouldn't have been a yellow card either. ☹️ 010
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 9hThat's roughly what I saw yesterday. Kavanagh was a disgrace. 030
Reposted by Fiona PhelanJenny O @msyellowhat.bsky.social · 11hI keep thinking about City’s attitude yesterday & I really hope their arrogance and lack of contrition is taken into account when sanctions are finally given. You can argue the players on the pitch blah blah but unfortunately for them every single one of them is complicit. Those titles mean nothing 3251
Reposted by Fiona Phelanneb @neboneid.bsky.social · 16hI can’t get this out of my head. The way Koumas was tossed and manhandled all match, all above board, only for yellows to be thrown at our players for the most minor of bumps should be a fucking scandal. 181

Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 20hIt obviously helps when they've been cheating to have such a deep squad, not to mention the ref being their 12th man. 🙄 010
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 20hThey were fairly shameless with their celebrations at the end. ☹️ Anyone would have thought that they'd won a trophy honestly. 😠🙄 110
Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 21hThat isn't even true. Until the dodgy 2 yellows for Gravenberch, we were playing well and were probably the better side (despite the missing first team players). The only thing we were lacking was clinical finishing. The dodgy sending off changed everything. 010

Fiona Phelan @hansenisagod.bsky.social · 23hThe first one should have been checked too. The problem is the people doing the reviewing are as bad as their mate on the pitch. 😠🙄 000
Reposted by Fiona PhelanAndCouldHePlay7 @andcouldheplay7.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I, for one, am delighted that Chris Kavanagh is happy to allow their defenders to repeatedly drag Lewis Koumas to the ground without any free-kicks going against them, but send Ryan Gravenberch off for two none fouls. Definitely not a bent Manc bastard at all. 2324
Reposted by Fiona PhelanTheCenci @thecenci.bsky.social · 11/10/2026No idea why Sky are so excited. Until the punishments are handed down the season means nothing. The game is a farce now, the League table a nonsense because there’s no competitive football till this has been resolved. No one will end today with points so why bother? We might as well wait till August 25516

It completely changed the game. ☹️ We had looked really good up to that point, although we need to be more clinical and take our chances. 3-0 flatters them. 😠 010
