Watched the village footy team. Lost to a dodgy last minute winner+ had a 95’ equaliser disallowed. 2 players sent off & a bit of a scrap at FT cos a lad in the crowd said the oppo #9 was hitting on his wife. A fiver to get in & a free beer at HT! Now I’m in the biergarten drowning my sorrows.

I remember Robbo miscontrolling a 60 yard cross-field pass from Trent that went out of play and feeling shocked that it happened. Until that, there’d been a 15 month period where I couldn’t remember a misplaced pass or miscontrolled ball. It was virtually perfect for months and months. Incredible.

Observations from attending a Bundesliga 2 game today, Hertha Berlin v Magdeburg: the officiating was spot on. Quick, accurate decisions. All goal kicks & throw-ins received warnings from the ref so the players had to crack on with it. No drama yet the game had 2 red cards & a VAR- disallowed goal.

Clear evidence in the new Inside Anfield footage to show that it was a foul throw by Delap in the build up to the penalty and that Williams was already diving as he was grazed by Alisson for the ludicrous pen decision.
