if you see this, post your marine-themed art 🦀
A wide digital painting of an underwater scene, a hill on the ocean floor covered in coral and vegetation to the left while a small sea turtle and a school of fish swim on the rightMy rendition of a "Nermaid" which is Nermal from Garfield crossed with a mermaid; they are laying on a rock erupting from the ocean (full credit to Delilah Dawson for inspiring the Nermaid)

i feel like a good metaphor for this would be a hot new chef having a meal laid out when their investors arrive (they actually ordered take out) so they get huge investment and on the restaurants opening night their kitchen staff immediately realizes the chef dosent know how to even turn on the oven

1. Newer writers, just don't fucking use "AI" for anything, ever 2. How odd that being an established writer with a firm "no 'AI'" stance and ample pre-"AI" IP will become a definite competitive advantage over "new, hot, and possibly copyright compromised" deadline.com/2026/07/ai-q...

AI Questions Spoil Book & Movie Heat On 'Call Me, I'll Hide The Body' Novel
That screeching sound you heard from international publishers and film rights buyers was an abrupt application of the brakes after a fevered pursuit of the unpublished debut novel.

Look at this awful/cool ant illustration I made for a fun little horror project. God I love making things
Black and white illustration of a strange ant with a corkscrew mandible and a strange, wisp-like tongue.

Text below the ant reads "Fig. 1. — Secordia Veritas (The Ant of Truth)

No idea why I drew this
A cartoon of an anthropomorphic purple bunny in a black t-shirt with a spoof Ubisoft logo on it is holding a squash racket up in one hand. His mouth is open as if he is speaking. He has dark circles under his eyes looks very tired

Once upon a time I was trying to teach myself to paint digitally; I'm more comfortable with cartooning but this was fun to do even if I see soooooooo many flaws; luckily the point is in making the thing, not in the thing being "good."
A digital painting of a girl's face; it's in a bluish grayscale, the right side of her face is in heavy shadow, the let is lit. She has ong hair. On the left she has some messy strands of hair.

He's helping (God I love drawing dumb shit)
A cartoon of a tabby cat flinging himself into a pyramid of soda cans in order to intercept a tennis ball.

The cans are on a round wooden table

The tennis ball is weirdly realistic looking because I added it last and got too much into making it look cool rather than match the rest of the drawing, lol

The wall behind the cans is striped in pink and red

The cans are jokey versions of real sodas: "Cock" (with an image of a little chicken) "Pixie," "Mrs. Salt," and "Bepis." Very dumb

Took a selfie of myself blowing some bubble gum, thought I looked like a cryptid so I made this lol
Digital art of a polaroid picture pinned to a corkboard with red twine tied to it and leading away to left and right. The polaroid is torn, scratched, and dirty. Written on it in black ink pen below the image are the words "Don't Look"

The picture itself black and white, showing a dark silhouette with a bubble obscuring it's entire face

At the present moment I am not interested in anything politically beyond the destruction of the Republican Party as a viable political force. If we don't break the back of the conservative movement nothing else really matters. Whatever good shit you want to do won't happen.

Love to draw a weird skull
A black and white line drawing of a human skull in 3/4 view looking to the left. It has glowing white eyes, and two antlers from which spiderwebs cling to grasp a large orb embedded in the top of the skull. Smoke rises from the skulls open jaw.

There are so many other non-problematic artists to support I don't feel swayed by the 'separate the art from the artist' like, come on, you're asking me to do *extra* work? Also, I don't want to perpetuate more of the things happening that disturbed me, so why would I keep funding it to happen?

Finally got a 100% in Silksong; a great and immensely frustrating game. 9 and a half of these hours were spent on the final boss, 8 on a mini game lol
A tv showing the game completion screen for Silksong. It shows 100% completion, with a time of 99h 31m and 59 seconds. There is also an Xbox achievement pop up at the bottom of the screen, it says Rare Achievement unlocked- 1.18% 50 gamerscore

There's an optional mini game in Act 3 of Silksong that has so far been the hardest, most annoying thing in the whole damn game; I'm at 8 hours of attempting it and sunk cost fallacy has me in its grip. No boss has taken more than ten attempts, and this is the thing that's breaking me blah

This is seven photos taken in an unusual fashion, layered, and then manipulated. Think it looks pretty neat.
What looks like abstract digital art; it is in fact 7 different photos shot backwards through a vintage lens, layered on top of each other, and then manipulated. The result looks like seven spheres of blurred light against a vaguely cosmic background, with a pattern in the background of concentric circles
