While watching Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme on Hot Ones, I recall the time my ex got hot sauce in my vagina. We had eaten burritos slathered in Tapatio, then smoked until we were deliriously high, then started having sex. He put his fingers inside me. He must not have washed his hands with sufficient vigor. This was not the only time his thoughtlessness hurt me, but it was by far the funniest. My hole began to tingle. Then to burn. Then to burn.
I was so stoned, everything was in slow motion. I wondered if I had been struck by a rapid-onset deadly sexual infection or necrosis of the vulva, if my genitals were about to fall off. As ambivalent as I felt about my genitals, I realized at that moment that I did not actually want them gone-or if they were to be removed, it would be on my terms. By this time, his mouth was on me and the pain was sharp and excruciating. I gotta go to the bathroom, I mumbled, or perhaps I didn't say anything and simply extricated myself from his body and bolted into the shower, spreading myself open with one hand and aiming the showerhead with the other, blasting my hole with icy water until the burn began, mercifully, to subside. It might have felt good if I hadn't been convinced that I was dying. I don't remember if he apologized afterwards, if we resumed having sex. I think we did.
