In Armenian, we use the same word—վանդակ / vandak—to mean both a cell (as in a spreadsheet) and a cage (as for a bird), and as an office worker, I think that's beautiful.

Joan Naviyuk Kane's "Dark Traffic" is a masterclass in the artistic manipulation of English phonology. This would be a feat from anyone, but I am esp. impressed when someone who has as much cause to resent this language as I do somehow still finds a way to love it enough to make it sound like this.
