Kate Mulgrew understands the assignment.
Janeway exemplified so many important leadership qualities. I would love to hear from you. Which of those qualities we are significantly missing in our leadership right now?

Are you kidding? Is this a trick question?

No!

All right. Intelligence, courage, moral courage, grace, humanity, levity, compassion, empathy, love, honor, privilege, dignity, science. You want me to go on? It’s infinite because what we’re in now is a mess.

One thing people aren't taking into account about the wave of AI assisted decompiling of games to mod them is that these same techniques can be used on all commercial software to use its source code to create open source alternatives. There's already projects to do so with the Adobe creative suite.

🍳 A messy comic of a scene from O Brother Where Art Thou. Delmar and Everett are in a movie theater looking behind them in their seats. Delmar is saying " We thought you was a Toad" to a confused looking Pete (surrounded by question marks).

With alt text. I know someone who actually did this
kbarton1001
On my first big overseas client conference, I was at a dinner seated next to a drunk client who kept trying to fondle me under the table. I was young, distressed, and had no idea what to do. I moved my legs as far away from him as I could, moving into the space of the man next to me, who then started patting my legs! The Regional Manager was a French woman who caught my eye, gestured for me to go to the bathroom and when I came back had switched chairs with me. What happed next was epic. A few minutes after I sat back down, she raised her hand with his hand captured in hers and announced loudly "Does anyone know whose hand this is? I found it in my lap." There was dead silence at the table. She threw his hand back at him and said calmly "next time I pick it up with my fork." Then she started a new conversational thread and things moved on. After the meeting she found me, gave me a hug, and said seriously "Never be afraid to make some noise. It is their shame, not yours."

These people have forgotten why a lot of folks moved on from "piracy". It wasn't the lawsuits - it was offering a more convenient, but equivalent, product that was worth the relatively cheap subscription. Jellyfin/Plex don't have ads if they're streaming from your own storage. Just saying.
