As someone who runs along the bike paths, this summer, I noticed that there are a quite a few water fountains that were never turned on this season; and others with very low flow. Thanks for the explanation. 🥵🥵🥵

Pessimist! There are working people who are homeless because they cannot afford the rents but they are still paying taxes. Not all unhoused are addicts, not all brain-injured, not all add to the legal costs in our community. They just need compassion and a hand up. Living Basic income would help.

Why can Canadian steel mills not make what is needed in Canada? Frankly I do not want ANY expansion of fossil pipelines but expansion of a passenger-only railway for VIA to run across the WHOLE country, not electrified. Parts would be high speed but other parts will serve communities more affordably

Maybe their focus should be on the poor. Unless their needs are met, there will continue to be discontent, thefts and other crime which make the downtown less desirable to visit. The “good quality housing” sounds suspiciously like high end houses and condos. The income gap keeps growing.

I saw Lena Diab at a conference with Melanie Joly a few months ago (and other venues) and was absolutely shocked at how she's not only a terrible public speaker (but she loved the limelight), she didn't even understand her role or the subject She needs to not represent ANY Canadian.
