Trans+ Inclusive Fieldwork Guidelines
Transgender (trans+) researchers face substantial inequity and risk when undertaking fieldwork. The guidelines focus specifically on the inclusion of the lives and identities of trans+ researchers, expanding on the PRIDE Fieldwork Guidelines*. The guidelines were created through a series of focus groups with trans+ researchers and self-described allies, as part of the Pathways: Participatory Approaches to Trans-Inclusive Field Research project. The project was facilitated by and developed in collaboration with Dr Robin Hayward, a trans science communicator and scientist, who consulted on the trans-inclusivity of the project throughout. The project was led by Professor Martin Zebracki, in collaboration with Dr Tilen Kolar, and was funded by the Research England Enhancing Research Culture Fund. * Zebracki, M., Hayward, R., Gill, F., Wimpenny, S., Watson, C.S. & Brown, H.
