Trump's lawlessness is more pressing, but let's not forget: the GWBush admin was also overflowing with incompetent, corrupt Republicans who were pathologically hostile to the rule of law. None of this was necessary or helpful, but it made them feel manly and it was good money for gov't contractors.

Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of. What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

100% right. In-state college tuition was still reasonably priced back in 90s, before too many states decided to cut the subsidies that kept it low to do things like fund tax cuts for wealthy people.

Quite a few of us with Caribbean parents were raised by nurses with LPNs and RNs (my mom made a career of psychiatric nursing). Nursing doesn’t get mentioned often enough when it comes to physically-demanding jobs.
