Here’s to hoping that foreign leaders telling Trump to fuck off births a whole new cross-cultural inter-lingual literary genre.

So which would be more brutal: Giving the Nobel Prize to Trump for this, or giving it to Biden?

I just put on a movie because Prime told me it was being removed in 19 minutes. Thing is, I’m not concerned that I’m vulnerable to such suasion; I’m worried that I’m feeling combative with a technology platform. “Don’t tell me how to live!”

Has “Wow, here’s the shit I got way wrong this year” replacing New Year’s Resolutions this year? This might actually be an improvement.

ever since I started making seltzer at home I get to steal a little valor every time I swap my CO2 tank at the local gas supply place. standing in line with the tradesmen refilling tanks for their welders and getting up to the counter to be like, I can only drink water with little bubbles in it

Agreed. Problem: liberalism (small-L) tends towards dissolving the bonds of affinities people feel with respect to such groups, them being un-natural impositions on one's liberty. If said groups are important for the actual politics of promoting liberal policies (They are.) then there is a tension.

Autocracy never works out for other people, but I think I could do it. I think I could unilaterally control all levers of power responsibly and benevolently. The people would love my rule.

Dungeon Masters: My players are goofy murderhobos who don’t take RP seriously. Their characters don’t act like real people. History: In 1630, a band of mercenaries came the village of Shitwaldberg, killed everyone, took their stuff, adopted a pig named Hans, and wrote a drinking song about it.

the downstream effects of algorithmization are so insidious. the goal truly is to produce to the exact level of “tolerable.” when I finally watched Power of the Dog after a particularly grim run of Marvel-adjacent smeary slop it felt like getting a full breath when I wasn’t even aware I was drowning

Jesus that’s a lot of drones
An image of a clear night sky showcasing countless stars scattered across a dark backdrop. Prominent celestial objects include bright stars and star clusters, likely part of well-known constellations. The image conveys a serene and expansive view of the universe, with faint variations in light intensity suggesting a hint of the Milky Way. The bottom edge of the image shows a subtle gradient, potentially indicating the horizon or light pollution.

Just tried to watch the new Aaron Rodgers show on Netflix, and only when I pulled it up did the magnificence of the title set it: “Enigma” He’s not an enigma; he’a a shithead. That’s not the same thing. I burst out laughing. Frankly, got my money’s worth. Can’t wait until the next episode.

I described it as that babies are just the most incompetent people on earth. Eating? They mistake disembodied rubber nipples for food and will suck on them for hours. Breathing, terrible at it. Holding their head up, no clue what they are doing. Remembering things they can’t see exist, can’t.
