This is a 5-alarm fire move by Trump's FCC. If this isn't stopped, Nexstar and Sinclair -two right wing pro-Trump/MAGA companies- will own almost every single local TV news outlet in the country. That's terrible news for local communities and for our democracy.

This piece is an important read for *everyone*. Especially @govpritzker Long-term care is a multi-generational set of issues (and impacts.) The current system is largely DIY, private pay, inefficient, inequitable, harmful, and a drag on the economy. The WA model looks like a much needed tool.

Thank you @kaminblair.bsky.social for this great analysis. I believe it’ll be embraced here. The campus design and planned programming says “forever young” to me. Initially, I was put off by the somewhat brutalist, stolid tower, but now think its feel of permanence and gravitas is very important.
