Anyway, COVID had precedence a hundred years ago, including denial and refusal to do basic hygiene changes, and it killed a bunch of people. And this was the less transmittal version. The only real difference in bubonic plague has obvious, painful sores and will be harder to conceal.

Pour one out for a real one. His oral history at USHMM talks about the youth movements finding places for Jews to hide and bringing them food, and becoming masters at forging Nazi documentation so pristine that the national French Resistance used them too. collections.ushmm.org/search/catal...
how the youth movements were the first to recognize the imminent peril and initiated rescue operations to save and arm the Jews; how during the mass arrests the youth movements provided food on a daily basis for those in hiding, identified host families or institutions for Jewish children, and produced forged documents; recalls the various techniques to produce forged documents and the evolving coded vocabulary: "les bifs" for the more artisanal identity cards and "les synthés" (les synthétiques) for the more perfect forgeries; how the youth movements' forgery laboratories were so proficient that the national French Resistance used their services and, in particular, the expertise of Maurice Loebenberg (Cachoud);

“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap

Remember when W was in office and to celebrate the budget surplus (that Republicans resisted) Bush and his admin sent checks from $30 to $300 to everyone to boost the economy? And then months later 9/11 happened and we suddenly had no resources? Just a random memory and in no way foreshadowing.
