Awhile back my team translated a game demo, and if it did well the full game would be made. And we've recently heard that it's going ahead. The dev had tons of praise for our translation because the players loved it. Most important feedback? Players loved that it clearly *wasn't* AI translation.

My, dad, who is 74, and is playing souls-likes has figured out that he can send me savegames whenever he is stuck and ask me to defeat something for him. He's currently playing Lies of P: Ouverture, and so far I've killed the freaking alligator and Veronique for him. Stay tuned!

Perhaps the darkest argument I’ve heard in favour of writing with AI is that there’s no point writing without it; we’ll all be consuming so much AI-generated content unwittingly that it will re-programme our writing styles and thought patterns. Humans who write without AI will sound like AI anyway.

Just fucking credit your localizers no matter how long or deeply they're involved, regardless of whether they made it to the end. You already have (bullshit) anticompete clauses in our contracts and forbid clients from directly poaching us. The slightest dignity for us won't ruin your bottom line.
