I don’t mind that the Dodgers got Skubal. Paid a decent price, but other teams could have matched and taken on his deal. It’s a choice not to do it. Dodgers are good on-field villains, but the real villains in baseball are owners who rake in cash but cry “small market!” when it’s time to spend.

This is so sad. And Dawson was a hard role to play. Pacey was the guy we wished all guys were. But Dawson was flawed, selfish, egotistical, insecure, still mostly trying to be a good guy. He was the guy we hoped we weren’t, and he brought a lot of humanity and vulnerability to that role.
