REJOICE, for my cat has earned her keep and caught the mouse! I don't love that she jumped on my bed with it (still alive) in her mouth. Definitely had some choice words. But I got her to bring it into the other room, where she dropped it and I trapped it in a plastic container and took it outside.

There's been a mouse in my apartment for over a month now and it's making me paranoid. Landlord sent a pest person who...put down a single mouse trap that hasn't done anything. I put out stuff to try to get rid of it. My cat is uninterested, even when she watches the mouse steal her food.

This seems like a pretty big deal: donors made illegal contributions to Susan Collins and then were awarded lucrative contracts after her office intervened with the Navy. An FBI investigation was dropped under Trump. www.propublica.org/article/fbi-...

To skirt campaign finance laws and conceal the source of the funds, Navatek planned to funnel the donation through a shell company. The CEO wanted assurance that Collins would know where
the money came from. Reed confirmed that she would, the executive said - and that Navatek would get its government contracts.
After the Corner Bakery meeting, Navatek's CEO, Martin Kao, sent an initial $150,000 to the Collins super PAC using the shell company. Two months later, he told Navatek executives that Collins committed to getting the company $32 million in naval contracts, according to an internal company email reviewed by ProPublica.

Libraries buy books. Lots of books, in all versions (paper, electronic, audio). They also have to purchase expensive licenses for the electronic books. Depending on the country, some library checkouts result in royalties for authors. Libraries are hardly our enemy.

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. i want to get vulnerable for a sec and talk about my experience with the GLP-1 as someone who had an alcohol addiction. now, at the time i started taking it, i didn't really get cravings anymore except under extreme stress (even then they were very brief). the GLP-1 eliminated my cravings 100%.
