The context of *this* wave of visceral rage at rapists is that in the past decade we've seen them take complete control of the government, turn the entire economy into their ponzi scheme, gain trillions of dollars of exploited wealth. We've seen an opposition party abjectly fail at stopping them

You can't keep talking and hoping for jury nullification if you are the type always getting out of jury duty. We need people on our side to take jury duty as a duty to fight ICE abuse, rape and murder. Pressure everyone you know to stick with jury duty. You are our only hope in this corrupt system.

I got back home a bit ago from Tennessee's execution of Christa Pike. We sat in the witness room for nearly 2 and a half hours as she received two rounds of pentobarbital. She was taken away in an ambulance shortly after that and I can't say for sure if she is dead or alive at this moment.

New Google Maps images reveal massive scale of devastation in Gaza
Satellite imagery shows further destruction of homes, businesses and places of worship since fragile ceasefire An update to Google Maps has revealed the extent of devastation during the three-year Gaza war and the severity of the continuing humanitarian crisis faced by the territory’s 2.3 million inhabitants. The images were taken in June this year and show further destruction of homes, businesses, places of worship and infrastructure since a fragile ceasefire came into effect almost 12 months ago. The death penalty is a moral abomination. State-sanctioned barbarism pushed by incompetent morons and sanctioned by the Supreme Court. Absolute ghoul shit. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
The lone woman on Tennessee's death row was still alive after she was administered two lethal injections, her lawyer said in a motion seeking to halt her execution Wednesday night, a stunning development after the Supreme Court had stepped in to allow the state to put her to death.
At 8:26 p.m. local time, witnesses said
"executioners had injected both syringes of lethal injection chemicals and Pike is still alive and snoring," her lawyers said in a federal court filing.
They said Pike "has not lost consciousness and still has a heartbeat," and that curtains to the death chamber "have gone down twice."

Get your Covid and flu vaccines before it's too late (and RSV if you qualify! especially pregnant folks). If you're not wearing a high quality mask indoors in public spaces already, it's a great idea to start (even if it's just to doctors appointments, hospital visits, on public transit, etc.).

The victim at ASU is their male teammate and the students who came (rightly) forward fear they could also become victims. The same is not true at Cornell. Cis men and boys would rather protect abusers than speak out against them to help protect women.

“The head coach and his assistant coaches were all on the field on August 20, all remain in their positions, and together they decide our playing time, scholarship levels, and roster status,” the players wrote. “No one has separated us from them since that morning.
