We started with the dolmades at Kapari in Naoussa, Paros - vine leaves stuffed with rice and local herbs. One of those starters you’re still talking about after the meal. Worth going back for those alone. #DineOut
Close-up of five dolmades at Kapari in Naoussa, Paros, served on a long, speckled cream ceramic plate. The plump parcels of vine leaves, filled with rice and local herbs, have glossy olive-green surfaces with clearly visible veins and folds. Alongside them is a generous sweep of herb-flecked Greek yoghurt scattered with chopped green herbs and ruby-red pomegranate seeds. The plate sits diagonally across a weathered pale green wooden table, with the nearest dolmades in sharp focus and the restaurant chairs softly blurred behind.

A hefty Greek heritage tomato from our allotment kitchen garden - deeply ribbed, wonderfully juicy and barely contained by two hands. Excellent roasted, though it’s hard to beat eaten raw with cucumber and a balsamic & dijon dressing. 🍅 #GardenSky

Something lovelier....if you want to spend a little more on something gorgeous, this solid perfume from Diptyque is exquisite (and can go in your carry-on). It's £56 which isn't inexpensive, but more affordable than many mainstream High St brands.
A refillable black laquer perfume compact from Diptyque.

Here's the blurb: "Do Son Refillable Solid Perfume: Tuberose, Orange blossom, Jasmine, Marine accord.

An infused cold wax, to be applied directly to the skin in a single gesture. In its sillage, the voluptuous scent and floral delicacy of the tuberoses of Do Son.

The case pays tribute to childhood memories of Vietnam. A scented balm, the stuff of dreams."

The slightly squared-off oval case has an engraved coloured design showing bamboo and tuberose flowers on the stem.

Harvest to plate. 🧺 This morning’s haul filled the trug with potatoes, chard, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, cucumbers, raspberries and basil. Not bad for a few hours of digging, picking and trying not to eat the raspberries on the way home. #GreenHeart 💚
My hands hold a large garden trug overflowing with freshly harvested allotment kitchen-garden produce: earthy Carolus potatoes; bright green Swiss chard; red and yellow tomatoes, including Lady of the Night, Costoluto Genovese, Fiorentino, Paros Island Heritage and San Marzano Redorta, Red Star bell peppers and Friggitello sweet peppers, Ohnivec and Carolina Reaper chillies, crisp cucumbers, fragrant basil, and bright red Versailles and Himbo Top raspberries, alongside golden Fall Gold raspberries. Tall, feathery asparagus ferns fill the background.

Autumn raspberries are already starting to offer the odd gift. Versailles, Autumn Chef and Fall Gold are first in - large, juicy berries in the late afternoon light. Soon the canes will be flush. Serious Brix levels already. #KitchenGarden
My hands gently cupping a small harvest of large, juicy raspberries picked in the allotment kitchen garden. The berries are Versailles raspberry, Tulameen Pearl and Fall Gold, each plump and richly coloured, with the pale gold berries standing out among the reds. The photo is taken in the evening, with a soft golden summer light giving everything a warm glow.

New asparagus bed, properly prepared with fresh seaweed, well-rotted manure and homemade compost. Gijnlim, Guelph Millennium and Pacific Purple going in. Good ground matters more than anything with asparagus. #KitchenGarden 🌞🌱👩‍🌾
A close, grounded view of asparagus being planted in a carefully prepared trench. My hands and forearms are visible, gently draping the long, pale roots of each crown over small mounds made from well-rotted manure and homemade compost. The texture of the soil is loose and dark, with the organic matter clearly worked through it. A light scattering of mycorrhizal fungi has been added over each mound, visible as a fine dusting before the soil is drawn back. The crowns are spaced methodically along the trench, each one positioned with care so the roots spread evenly. The scene captures a practical moment of planting, focused on soil preparation, structure, and the deliberate handling of each plant.

Rhubarb pushing its way out of the forcer on the allotment. Grown in the dark, it comes out tender, almost silk-like, with a softer acidity. Going into a crumble later - very little sugar needed. #KitchenGarden 🎋
A traditional terracotta rhubarb forcer sits in a kitchen garden allotment bed, with pale pink rhubarb stalks and bright green tufts pushing up through the top opening. The stems are long, slender, and lightly coloured from being grown in darkness, set against early spring soil and surrounded by a mass of Fultons Strawberry Surprise and Victoria rhubarb leaves.
