This is evil and awful and trans people everywhere deserve better than what's happening right now. And I think it's impossible to overtstate the pivotal role that JK Rowling played in mainstreaming hateful and false ideas about trans people. Every dollar you give her goes toward efforts like this.

Bravo, Jo. All that cash funnelled into Women for Scotland just to make life that bit more unbearable for trans people—what a triumph!! Must feel soooo good knowing you've made trans people's lives even harder. You must be so proud. Truly, what a legacy, big slap on the back, well done you. 🥇 🙌

regardless of today’s outcome, it is morally indefensible to have a court ruling on something that affects a population, using evidence and findings that did not consult a single member of that population.

Keith Haring died of AIDS aged 31 on 16 Feb 1990. One of his last works, Unfinished Painting, was deliberately incomplete, reflecting the devastating, unquantifiable loss to the arts due to AIDS. #LGBTplusHistoryMonth
A square canvas. Only the top corner is filled with Harings distinctive figures, rendered in Lavender, the rest is blank.

It's always nice to be surprised by one of these things on the walk into town. LMS 'Black 5' No. 45212 waits for the off at York having brought a charter in from London King's Cross, as a Grand Central Class 180 lays in wait, poised to photobomb a hundred videos of its departure.
A black steam locomotive under the large curved roof of York railway station, with a modern diesel passenger train waiting in the distance.

A week ago I was being told to apologize for saying Trump would be worse for Gaza because he faked a temporary pause/pretend ceasefire to coincide with his inauguration. Now he’s just openly endorsing/encouraging ethnic cleansing.

Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! ❤️📚

Every time I read about banning books, I think of this: Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius. If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books — you're afraid of thinking.
