Jesus is male. Sure, I agree. I don’t see that it follows that He - and He alone, apparently - can’t be played by a woman. It really is no different from a woman playing Richard II, or any other man. The belief that He is also God doesn’t change it, either - God qua God is neither male nor female.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that my ideal church music is SCALABLE. I want something that is simple enough for a few untutored people to learn it quickly and sing it reasonably well, but to be able to layer parts/instruments on top of it for trained singers or larger spaces

One thing that's really making me go "did only I get this" about Odyssey discourse: It seemed clear to me that Zendaya's character is not in fact Athena but Cassandra? (Recall: in some versions of the sack of Troy Ajax the Lesser rapes Cassandra and Athena's statue is destroyed in the process)

Exceptional circumstances call for exceptional measures. The consecrations of July 1st, performed without papal mandate, are an exceptional measure linked to the unprecedented crisis facing the Church. A day will come when Rome will finally recognize that the Second Vatican Council, far from strengthening the Church in the faith, has instead contributed to weakening Church teaching, thus leading to its slow but inexorable disintegration. As Bishop Fellay so aptly stated in September 2011, while it is true that there is a disagreement between the Society of Saint Pius X and Rome, the problem does not originate with us.
Reading the papal encyclicals on modern errors helps to understand that the choice to be made in 1988 was not between Pope John Paul Il at the time and Archbishop Lefebvre, but between the last popes and the popes who preceded them, since there was a deep opposition between them on issues that touch on faith

Unfortunately, most authorities today remain attached to these same errors.
For example, Pope Francis declared in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019, that "the diversity of religions is a wise divine will." Just recently, Rome requested that the term Co-Redemptrix no longer be officially used to refer to Our Lady of Compassion. Under the pretext that this word is difficult to understand, they want to eliminate it from our vocabulary. Furthermore, Rome continues to dream of a synodal Church, a Church that seeks to listen to the people at the expense of its role in teaching the the Faith.

A lot of media coverage of the ‘AI’ reading of the Herculaneum scrolls really fails to understand what’s happened here. There’s no language processing happening, the AI/ML is not trained on a corpus of texts or language. It can detect ink to see shapes. HUMAN EXPERTS are then transcribing the text.
