Under Trump, the U.S. isn’t a country in the traditional sense. It’s the military and financial management arm of the corporate club that's in charge – Musk, Bezos, Thiel, Zuckerberg, etc. That’s why Trump won't regulate AI. He knows corporations regulate the government, not the other way around.

I hate it when news media suck up to newsmakers by trying to wish things into existence. Two examples: The media chorus that Rahm Emanuel is presidential material and Axios pushing Eric Schmitt as the next vice president. Start reporting real news. Stop trying to make fetch happen.

Laugh at Eric Schmitt and Co. for Hawkeyes/Hawks, sure. Their screw up is funny and they deserve the mockery. But also, this was the GOP and allied media geared up to defend a coup attempt with lies and jail a prosecutor because he tried to enforce the law against a criminal. How far we've fallen.

leave aside the GOP, it also did not stop the political news media from covering the Hunter story as if it were a corrupt scandal rather than Biden bending over backwards to let a Republican fuck his son over.

This is priceless. Check out how local news is reporting on Sen Eric Schmidt’s clown-show grilling of Jack Smith. They found Jack Smith at the game… “Top corner, section 109, row 1. In fact, that seat doesn’t even exist in Atlanta.”

Everything you see happening to the United States is an intelligence operation run by professionals who know how the system works.
They have access to unlimited funding through the American taxpayer via NGO's & U.S. agencies like USAID. The only way to defeat these people is to strip the system and rebuild it from the ground up with people of integrity.

This seems unwise to me. The victim will get blamed for snitching, not the alleged rapists. Of course, that's often the point of these collective punishments: to scare victims out of reporting. I hope that's not the intention here. www.cornellsun.com/article/2026...

Funniest part to me is Jack Smith using 110% of his lawyer brain. He avoids making the connection himself; he doesn't even say "Hawkeyes," he just says "Iowa." He knows it's better to let everyone figure it out on their own. He also knows from Klobuchar's grin that she'll dunk it for him.

Absolutely. If any Dem Member of Congress concocted a conspiracy theory based upon the assumption that going to a Hawkeyes basketball game necessarily meant going to Atlanta, it would be a week of TV spots and three months of op-ed columns about Dems' cultural disconnect.

The GOP is an opposition party even when it's in power, the idea that they are the perpetual underdog is central to their internal mythology and can't be disturbed by facts or the results of elections. It's also why they're bad at, you know, governing.

Jokes aside, this is my real advice. If you're broke then, no, do not "be yourself." Your top priority is to show that you can be what they want to hire. Get that bag. If you have flexibility, then getting rejected for being yourself is *good*, that's not a place you wanted to work anyway.
