I don't have time, I say as I check the prompts There's no way I will do something about it, I declare as I open file to pick the prompts and sketch ideas I'll definitely not take part in it, I say as I plan the ships I want to write

All Ships Week takes place on social media, no discord servers required! But we have one if you're 18+ & would like to earn this year's legacy icon, which I haven't doodled yet but is very likely to feature the return of Sailor Lime (for some reason, we have a lot of fruit mascots)

my warm-up for @ficwip.bsky.social retreat... 50 words with the prompt: lost & path #mywriting #microfic #ficwip #virtualwriterretreat #50words

screenshot from scrivner with the following text:
fandom: original
ship: none
theme: lost & path
Cw: none

The path is old and made of crushed gravel and neglect. Within the maze, sounds of life are muted, like hands clapped over your ears. The maze yawns and stretches in all directions. There’s no comfort in the maze, it is endless and overgrown.

Amongst the hedgerows, we are lost.

@ficwip.bsky.social retreat weekend has already broken my heart on the warm up exercise. On the other hand, I'm probably gonna put in some time into outline work for this AU, because there is some delicious torture going on here? #kingdomhearts #wipfic

Discord screenshot with a 50w fic:

Character: Aqua
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Raiting: T

To think that she’d lost control like that, that her anxieties would taint her magic so strongly-

“Last night… I felt my heart tremble,” Aqua whispers, “And yet for Darkness to use that crack… maybe the path of Mastery was never mine to take.”

Behind her, the old man smiles.

As an artist with many writer friends, do not be afraid to ask for help if unsure of a certain subject in your imaginative storytelling. Many folks can be sensitive, yes, but resorting to AI will make things worse! Ask your closest friends for help on learning how to write culture, there is no shame

Try and find validation for your work through your own eyes. While not everyone else is going to vibe with your writing, if you love your own work, it won't matter. Write for you. Write what you want to read. Be authentic to you and the readers will see that. You got this. You ARE good.

Even if a trope has been written a million times, every author adds their own unique spin and examination to their works — and trust me, fans of the genre you write will never be upset to see another addition to it. (I have to remind myself of this, too!)

HELP BEX! bit.ly/HelpBex @ovaettr.gay · 07/09/2026

you don't need to wait for a publishing house to pick you up, ever if at all, because self-publishing is a power you hold within your hands and you CAN and SHOULD get your work out there by any means necessary. Here is my zines resource page! MAKE A ZINE! ovaettr.gay/learn-zines

A visual guide on folding an 8-page mini zine.

1) Fold long-edge to long-edge (hot dog style, depending on where you went to school)

2) Fold that in half, short-edge to short-edge.

3) Fold THAT in half, short-edge to short-edge again. It will resemble a tiny book but its not done yet.

4) Unfold the entire thing. Notice the 8 compartments you have created with the creases from folding. You can mark your zine pages if needed at this time. One side will be...
From Left to right: Back Cover, Front Cover, Page 1, Page 2
the second side is, once FLIPPED AROUND:
pages 3, 4, 5, and 6

Once you are ready...

5) Fold again short-edge to short-edge. Cut at the center inwards on the crease, just one compartment's worth, and only that much. This creates a hole in the center of your piece of paper once unfolded again.

6) Unfold.

7) Fold over once more hot dog style, long-edge to long-edge

8) Take your fingers and gently prop open the center hole of the piece of paper once folded over. It should look diamond-shaped once popped open.

9) Gently make the two points of the diamond kiss, inwardly pushed until it creates a "pinwheel" look and then fold it around to bring your cover page to the front of the folded booklet. You now have created an 8 page booklet. Fill it with your writing!
