archiveofourown.org/works/615946... this chapter. THIS CHAPTER. hold onto your FUCKING HATS guys 🤠 #pap3rfics #CODFic #poly141 #callofduty #omegaverse #readerinsert #omegareader #polypack #alphaprice

An excerpt from "Fly, Songbird, Fly" by pap3rtigers. The text reads:

"After that, you'll do the same for me. Same spot, same thing—your nose against my scent gland, take as long as you need. You'll want to know my scent properly. I won't lie to you, it might be a bit overwhelming, but that's why we're taking this slow as we need."

He pauses for a moment, watching your chest heave even as you try to hide your fear. You came in here, you initiated this whole thing, you don't get to chicken out now—

You want to feel the sun again.

"It won't hurt," he offers a crooked half-smile, almost apologetic. "I know that's… I know you don't believe me, and I know you've got reasons for that. Like I said, it might be a bit overwhelming, but it's not going to hurt. And if it's too much at all, at any point, we stop. I don't care if you push me away, bolt, hide… if it's too much, we stop. No questions. No consequences."

don't like, don't read! which includes other people's analysis and opinions. just move on, it's not worth wasting your own time 'correcting' people. some people like things that are 'wrong' on purpose and your efforts will go nowhere and likely explode in your face. focus on the joy.

I just keep thinking about the scene from MWII where they’re rescuing Alejandro and poor Rudy has to listen to Ghost and Soap being GhostandSoap and then the one in MWIII which has Laswell on overwatch and she has to steer them back to the mission.

Even if you forced 141 to therapy, they would probably be awful at it. You know they would instantly learn to weaponize therapyspeak if they would even get that far – difficult, treatment-resistant patients who Do Not Want To Be There.

A 2 am blunder about a 2 am blunder. Ciest lah veep homie. The boy cries you a sweater of tears and you make him piss his pants #ghostsoap

Ghost: Don’t wait up going to be L8 M8
Soap: Aw man : ( that means I have to eat all the dinner
Ghost: Choke

Lots of time later…

Ghost: weather went to shit
Ghost: ETA 1600 sharp
Soap: Not a problem LT I’ll be there to scoop you. Back to sleep for me

Even more time later at 3am
Ghost: Here
Soap: ????
Ghost: got your six

Johnny tilts his phone screens light to the presence. Simon says a wee hi. Seconds before tragedy.

Johnny says calmly:

Of course, the first time I make you laugh is at my expense. You make a man piss his pants. What possessed you to subject me to your fucking whims, I trusted you, Christ on a bike Simon we kill people I could’ve messed you up, but no, I only messed up on my pants. Be thankful I let that happen instead of your face.

This is part of what I'm referring to with many people demanding stories that reassure them they're a good person. They want the moral instruction because otherwise, rather than processing the reading experience, there's a thrum of "am I bad? am I bad? what if someone finds out I'm bad?"

Tumblr post by graftini:

stories about abuse are allowed to exist without reducing themselves to moral instruction. i think sometimes when people complain about the “romanticization” of abuse, what they're actually objecting to isn't necessarily the way abuse is being represented, but the fact that the representation doesn't provide them with constant moral reassurance. like, there is a difference between “this story frames abuse as desirable or inherently romantic” and “this story depicts abuse in an erotic/ambiguous/complicated way and doesn't repeatedly tell me that abuse is bad, therefore the depiction itself is irresponsible.”

drawing of john “soap” mactavish on his knees pleading for 32 more pledges to make a tiny soap plushie reality.

there’s screenshots of a timer for the plushie champagne (reading 5 days, 22 hours, 3 minutes, and 54 seconds) and a progress bar for pledges that’s at 68/100 (or 68%).

there’s a little scribble in bright pink highlighting the 68% as well as text highlighted in the same pink underneath reading: “ONLY 32 MORE PLEDGES NEEDED TO MAKE HIM REAL!!”
