The way this is translated, yeah, a lot of this subtext (and let's face it, TEXT) is completely lost in English. I had no idea about some of this. Their feelings do kind of make it through in English, but so much of their dialogue is translated in ways that obscure their relationship and just AAAAAA

I read a couple hundred death penalty cases for a case once and I think you’d all be shocked at how often this happens. The death penalty is one of the cruelest things in our system, an obvious violation of the 8th amendment cruel and unusual punishment clause, but we just love to kill.
