In a recent podcast, Zuck expands on how Muse operates as an expansive surveillance tool. He refers to “personal agents,” which is a misnomer because the tool is based on the collection and use of data from people far outside the Muse user, who have not provided consent to the use of their data.
Ultimately, I think one of the exciting things about Muse is that it has sort of like this holistic context into you as a person and all of the aspects of your life. So it sort of like can holistically understand things about your family or things about your coworkers or things about your friends. And then sort of like help you co-optimize across all of those to get you the exact right gift for your, you know, best friend in the context of your friend group based on what it knows about your friend group. Like, I think there's just like a lot of exciting opportunities that are somewhat new and novel when it comes to like these personalizations, these recommendations.

Charlie Downes, Campaigns Director of Lowe's Restore Britain, sees Reform's fatal flaw as accepting ethnic minorities as British "You have to recognise that millions of legal immigrants must go too, including passport holders. Otherwise just arguing for demographic replacement at a slower speed"
At some point Reform will have to decide what their position on Britishness is.

They can’t continue to say anyone with a British passport is British and then say Britain won’t exist if we don’t deport millions of people.

Which is it?

Deporting illegals and criminals only gets us so far in restoring demographic security.

At some point, you have to recognise that millions of legal immigrants must go too, including passport holders.

Otherwise you are just arguing for demographic replacement at a slower speed.

Reform are stuck between a Blairite vision of Britishness and a nationalist vision. The doublespeak on this topic can’t last much longer. They have no coherence on the central issue of our age.

Recommendations from the Journals Working Group of the Association for Human Mathematics just dropped: Venues that disseminate scientific publications should give authors *choice* and *consent* in whether and how LLM-based systems are used during the referee process. www.ahmath.org/recommendati...
Preliminary Recommendations from the Journals Working Group

Venues that disseminate scientific publications - such as journals, conferences, and preprint servers - should give authors choice and consent in whether and how LLM-based systems are used during the referee process. Prior to manuscript submission, such scientific venues should clearly communicate whether, and in precisely what way, LLM-based systems will be used during review, manuscript typesetting, and all other stages of the publication process. This commitment to transparency and the rights of authors applies equally to scientific venues themselves and to any third parties involved with the venue, such as editors, referees, and third-party copy-editing services. Authors should have the right to refuse this without being prejudiced in any way in the reviewing process.

Research into genetic influence on athletic performance is still developing, and AlterMe acknowledges that its genetic findings reported through DNA testing have not been clinically validated. However, the company conducts its own research to produce a personalized Fitness and Wellness Genetic Report. It says it uses “a rigorous genetic interpretation process that adheres to strict scientific standards” with “scientific integrity” and “robust research.” AlterMe also states that saliva samples are processed in the US in a CLIA- and CAP-certified lab that meets local regulations.
