Elon Musk posted about race almost every day in January
Many social media posts by Tesla CEO on his platform are indiscernible from those of white supremacists, say experts Elon Musk’s longtime fixation on a white racial majority is intensifying. The richest man in the world posted about how the white race was under threat, made allusions to race science or promoted anti-immigrant conspiracy content on 26 out of 31 days in January, according to the Guardian’s analysis of his social media output. The posts, made on his platform X, reflect a renewed embrace of what extremism experts describe as white supremacist material. “Whites are a rapidly dying minority,” Musk said on 22 January, a short time before taking the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, while reposting an Irish anti-immigrant influencer’s video about demographic change. He literally says in this clip that ICE will keep in Minnesota “quick reaction forces” — a military term — to go after “agitators.” Remember that those on the ground in MPLS have spent more than a week trying to tell everyone that Trump’s prior “deescalation” was a ruse and ICE is still operational

This whole thread. On how ICE and DHS are ignoring orders to release ppl, moving them to Texas to get favorable judges, and holding them—including young children—in absolutely inhumane conditions. It’s so clear that neither ICE nor DHS are compatible w the rule of law and must be dismantled.

So the confrontations, violent apprehensions, and general fear bearing down on communities like Minnesota is only the beginning of the nightmare. Behind the scenes, Orwellian anti-judicial antics thwart lawful recourse. And hidden from sight, non-citizens are tortured for being noncitizens. 29/

And even when we move at warp speed and outpace this regime, DHS doesn’t care. They’ve moved people to Texas hours or days after being enjoined. When ordered to return them, DHS just… doesn’t. The AUSAs let them: when we notify them of a violation, they send the email equivalent of a shrug. 19/

Meanwhile, DHS shows its contempt for the judiciary in a different way. In dozens, likely now thousands, of cases, DHS openly defies court orders. Minnesota courts enter orders forbidding ICE from moving noncitizens who’ve filed habeas petitions out of Minnesota. They move them anyway. 16/

PBS NewsHr interviewed a woman involved in a U.S. civil war exercise conducted in September 2024. She explains what makes the Minnesota situation so destabilizing. www.pbs.org/newshour/sho...
Because traditional unrest is really about the people. It’s not about government, per se.

And, hopefully - and this is what we have had for most of our history - you have the federal government and the state government working together to try to get control over that unrest, to de-escalate the situation and to work ideally in harmony together, or at least to have a functional working relationship and to partner together…..

But when you have the federal government and the state government unable to work together and giving different narratives, it’s profoundly confusing to the people. And, of course, it will have a tendency to escalate violence, as well as to really do damage to the rule of law.
