Elon Musk posted about race almost every day in January
Many social media posts by Tesla CEO on his platform are indiscernible from those of white supremacists, say experts Elon Musk’s longtime fixation on a white racial majority is intensifying. The richest man in the world posted about how the white race was under threat, made allusions to race science or promoted anti-immigrant conspiracy content on 26 out of 31 days in January, according to the Guardian’s analysis of his social media output. The posts, made on his platform X, reflect a renewed embrace of what extremism experts describe as white supremacist material. “Whites are a rapidly dying minority,” Musk said on 22 January, a short time before taking the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, while reposting an Irish anti-immigrant influencer’s video about demographic change. So the confrontations, violent apprehensions, and general fear bearing down on communities like Minnesota is only the beginning of the nightmare. Behind the scenes, Orwellian anti-judicial antics thwart lawful recourse. And hidden from sight, non-citizens are tortured for being noncitizens. 29/

And even when we move at warp speed and outpace this regime, DHS doesn’t care. They’ve moved people to Texas hours or days after being enjoined. When ordered to return them, DHS just… doesn’t. The AUSAs let them: when we notify them of a violation, they send the email equivalent of a shrug. 19/

Meanwhile, DHS shows its contempt for the judiciary in a different way. In dozens, likely now thousands, of cases, DHS openly defies court orders. Minnesota courts enter orders forbidding ICE from moving noncitizens who’ve filed habeas petitions out of Minnesota. They move them anyway. 16/

Renee Good deserves justice too. The only reason the agents went got out of the vehicles to confront her was 1) they were frustrated and 2) to enter her into their database. Just like Pretti, they instigated the situation then killed her.

Miller claims CBP was supposed to do crowd control. Except neither ICE nor CBP are trained in urban policing or crowd control. CBP especially. How is it deviating from protocol if an officer isn’t appropriately trained to do what’s being asked of them? abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory...
Saldana, who left the post at the beginning of 2017 as President Donald Trump’s first term began, said she can’t speak to how the agency currently trains its officers. When she was director, she said officers received training on how to interact with people who might be observing an apprehension or filming officers, but agents rarely had to deal with crowds or protests.

This is different. You would hope that the agency would be responsive given the evolution of what’s happening - brought on, mind you, by the aggressive approach that has been taken coming from the top”, she said.

Ian Adams, an assistant professor of criminal justice at the University of South Carolina, said the majority of crowd-management or protest training in policing happens at the local level - usually at larger police departments that have public order units.

“It’s highly unlikely that your typical ICE agents has a great deal of experience with public order tactics or control”, Adams said.

Because traditional unrest is really about the people. It’s not about government, per se.

And, hopefully - and this is what we have had for most of our history - you have the federal government and the state government working together to try to get control over that unrest, to de-escalate the situation and to work ideally in harmony together, or at least to have a functional working relationship and to partner together…..

But when you have the federal government and the state government unable to work together and giving different narratives, it’s profoundly confusing to the people. And, of course, it will have a tendency to escalate violence, as well as to really do damage to the rule of law.
