Not to be mean to Pete Hegseth (ok, a little mean), but AUTOWARCOM sounds like some demolition derby event in a disused stadium. Also, announcing reductions in flag officer posts and a new 4-star bureaucratic command is an interesting allocation of priorities. breakingdefense.com/2026/09/hegs...

So, if I have followed correctly: - Five men were arrested and released on bail. - One of the five called the police himself. - No explosives were apparently found. - Somehow Iran "played a role" in all these events. Sooooo...what happened??? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

Some interesting insights from Mecklenburg Vorpommern: 59% of AFD voters say they voted AFD because of their programme (as opposed to the candidate). “Peace in Europe” (aka foreign policy/Ukraine was a reason to vote AFD for 16%, behind social security, immigration and security/order.

Just out of curiosity, has *any* university ever offered its students or staff 2500$/month in research expenses, no questions asked? Assuming Harvard considers LLM access a research expense - why fund that, but not books, fieldwork, conferences?

It is simultaneously possible that: 1) America is underprepared for the use of small one way attack drones 2) much reporting on how underprepared we are overstates its case 3) the American military would still likely win 4) Ukraine is good at using drones 5) Ukraine still wants our legacy kit
