Before Sam Altman and co created the Torment Nexus, "AI" referred to a collection of clever strategies for enabling computers to dynamically perform complex operations without immediate human input. All through ingenuity and hard work, by serious developers. None of it was inherently harmful.

It really doesn't make sense to attribute those job losses to AI-the-technology, because if that were the case we'd be observing AI outputs displacing conventional entertainment products, and they're clearly not. Rather, the impact of AI is that AI-the-business is crowding out other investment.

They fired so many artists over this too. People who helped make the game iconic were tossed out on the street because the Slop Faucet could do it "decent enough". If you still play Fortnite, you're funding the hyper-acceleration of AI replacing Artists in Gaming

Fun fact: "Reviewing an AI made translation" is more work for translators than just translating it themselves, because AI translations do not pass the sniff test beyond the most superficial. It's a loophole companies use as an excuse to underpay translators, and nothing else.

Youtube has decided that my 10 year old channel with 200k views doesn't have channel history, preventing me from putting links in video descriptions. This will prevent me from putting the steam link in the description of my game's trailers when they come out. They want my ID to fix that.

The youtube email in french. Telling me the different things I can't do anymore. The most important part being the 4th one : no links in descriptions.

The bottom part tells me I should build channel history, or send my ID.
