The further I get into writing my novel the harder it is to resist the urge to start editing what I’ve already written. There are so many things I know need to be fixed to make the pacing better and the motivation of the mc stronger! I KNOW i gotta keep going to finish what I know will change 😭

I used to be 100% Lawful Pantser, but I’m a lot more comfortable hopping around now instead of ALWAYS writing in order. I still end up writing linearly a lot of the time, but would say that otherwise I’m somewhere between a Neutral Pantser and a Chaotic Plantser now. #WeeknightWriters

Just hit 50k on my WIP!! 🎉 Its a word count goal I’ve never been able to hit on single project before. I’m incredibly proud of myself for persisting and not falling into the trap of second-guessing everything and immediately re-writing the beginning a thousand times.

the biggest problem I face as a writer is that I WANT to right, and I love to write, but finding the executive functioning that will l turn my desire into action is hard! I’ve only been able to write recently bc I’m currently unemployed and have a writing buddy to hold me accountable.

Writers, what details do you care way too much about including and properly describing despite knowing it doesn’t matter? For me, its clothes/“character design.” I need to know exactly what every character is wearing/looks like, and probably linger on those descriptions too long on the page…

I’ve been going to a cafe and writing with a good friend of mine a couple of days this past week and I’m baffled by how quickly the words are happening. The first it was like 700 words, then 800, and then yesterday I banged out 1,500 like it was nothing in the same time span??

Today is my last day at my job!! I quit because my boss told me that, as my employer, she could talk down to and belittle me all she wanted, and if I didn’t like it, I could resign. So i thought about it and yeah, resigned. Grateful I am in a spot rn where I can stand up for myself.

I was told it was only for people in their early 20s and recall a cap for those over 40! There’s a lot of misinformation surrounding it unfortunately. But i believe the ages have changed since I got it a couple years ago?

Hey if you or your loved ones are at any risk of cervical cancer and are able to, get the HPV vaccine. Its an absolutely incredible feat of modern medicine and i think its available to way more age groups now too? Also you do not have to be sexually active to get it!!
