I remember when I started out in journalism and my wonderful Producer Colin McRae said you have to remember to be fair, accurate and balanced. So for the government to not tweak but get rid of the BSA - with no meaningful engagement or robust rationale - is neither fair, balanced or accurate.

WaPo thinks that the less than one day “negotiations’ (really, just an ultimatum from Vance who announced “They have chosen not to accept our terms”) were “lengthy negotiations”. The Paris Peace Talks between the US & Vietnam lasted almost 5 years! Islamabad was a 1-day charade.
