I've been working towards a CSS-only sphere for years, and now I want to set it free (in #Saturn form 🪐) I added toggles so you can see what each layer contributes to the scene. Try it: codepen.io/alowpoly/pen...

So, today I built `<calc-input>`. It’s a custom input element that accepts mathematical formulas — such as 2 + 3 or (2 + 3) * 4 — and automatically toggles between showing the formula on focus and the calculated result on blur. → brm.us/calc-input

No, some people are poor and can’t afford it. Why can’t you just code with your tool and shut up about it? Why are pro AI people constantly on the attack? “You’ll never work again. NO ONE will have jobs!” Okay we hear you. Move on

The other day, I called Best Buy and kept saying, “representative,” and do you know the system said, “It seems you want to speak with a representative, but I can probably help you quicker with whatever you need.” ? No the fuck it couldn’t!

Here's some explosive etymology: In the 1600s, an audience annoyed by an actor’s performance might clap loudly to drive them off the stage. That’s where the word “explode” comes from: “ex-“ (away) + "plaudere" (to clap). Boom.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you can click and drag the subtitles in a youtube video to anywhere in the player. This is particularly useful for a software tutorial where the latest things being typed are at the bottom of the screen covered up by subtitles.

I have a vague worry that, as we put more and more computation into CSS, web devs are going to end up with performance issues that are difficult to trace to their source compared to JS solutions. The answer is to surface this in DevTools I guess.
