A Paramount-WBD merger will place two of the four major news archives that documentarians and journalists depend on under Ellison control — a move that could limit access to research, raise licensing fees, and increase the risk of censorship. @bedoyausa.bsky.social on this threat

William D. Cohan's new book, Money to Burn, presents itself as the story of Wall Street billionaire and Epstein-confidant Leon Black. But, as @helaineolen.bsky.social lays out, the book skips over Black's fueling of — and benefit from — the private equity takeover of American life.

DoorDash has ripped off more than 260,000 NYC delivery workers. We’re making them pay $131.5 million — the largest worker settlement in City history. This is New York, where hard work pays and greed will cost you.
DoorDash messed up.
They repeatedly left more than 260,000 NYC delivery workers underpaid or paid late, causing them immense stress and financial difficulty.
That's unacceptable.
We've secured a $131.5M settlement from

Every worker will be paid what they are owed, and every company will be forced to abide by the laws of this city.

still processing that the *Iowa* AG told SCOTUS that if the feds plus "authorities" of "major countries" like China Saudi Arabia Kuwait France Serbia Ukraine Slovenia Mexico Brazil ...okay a corrupt merger, states like Iowa ...can NOT challenge it, neutering an antitrust law 1st passed in Iowa
Excerpt from a Supreme Court brief that reads: "37. Competition authorities across the world agreed with the professionals at DOJ, clearing the merger one after another. 38. It is barely an exaggeration to say the merger was approved by every major country with a clearance regime (and many small countries) on every continent except Antarctica. They include competition authorities from Australia, New Zealand, China, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Kuwait, South Africa, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Spain, Serbia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Mexico, Brazil, and others. 39. The European Commission conducted a particularly extensive review over multiple months, similarly concluding that the merger would enhance rather than harm competition. "
