Today in things I didn't know were different in Australia. I kept getting asked who they were marrying.
Patient elopement is when individuals leave an area they are expected to stay within, for their safety. Elopement from a healthcare facility can have devastating consequences for a patient, including serious injury or death.

Looking at my home country from afar, with a time differential is surreal. I'm sad for what is happening, and sad for my friends who keep reaching out in anguish. It's times like this that I'm reminded of a regular saying by my dad. I'd rather be lucky than good.

All this kit, and we still are required, by law, to carry that little first aid pouch you can just see on the pilot's seat.
The back of a medical helicopter are full of multiple bags of gear, a monitor, and a stretcher. However, there is also a tiny first aid kit behind the pilot.

The whole system is about to erupt. This draft award is highly offensive, dramatically reduces conditions, reduces pay in real terms and would entrench NSW as the poorest paying state in Australia. The psychiatrists dispute is a storm in a teacup compared with what is coming.

Line conditioning always gives a confronting perspective on the longest amount we can winch. (See alt text)
An AW139 helicopter with 85m of steel cable below it attached to a weight, so that it can be reeled in under tension. This is a process called line conditioning.
There is also an air crewman on the ground near the weight, to give perspective of the height.
