6. ⭐️ This was terrible. Main character? Dull Love interest? Creepy Pacing? Slow as sludge No character development.. Honestly I am beginning to tire of fantasy stories where the central character competes in trials to win a place of note in a kingdom... ⭐️ #BookSky

Every thought, every interaction, every reflection on this journey I would chronicle on scrap paper, iPhone notes, emails to myself- and slowly, painstakingly, that has turned into a book, TO EXIST AS I AM. 3/5
A picture of me, a white woman with glasses, holding my book TO EXIST AS I AM, a doctors notes on recovery and radical acceptance. The book cover is a picture of me sitting in my wheelchair wearing scrubs, from the shoulders downa quote from y book, 'I want you to understand the nuances of my story, and that there is nuance to disability. Disability is too often oversimplified, sensationalised or glorified, leaving no room for its dynamic nature and the rich variety of experience. I want to frame this book in hope, too, writing from a place of compassion and empathy rather than criticism. I’m writing as someone who has not always done the right thing either, or always known what might be the right thing to – or the right words to say. I want us all to do better.'

Almost 20(!) years later and this movie still SLAPS. Strongest urge to telephoné le police when Juno is alone with Jason Bateman's character at any point in the film. Seriously worried that I did not pick up on the vibes when I watched this as a child... Allison Janney & J.K. Simmons are perfect.🎬 📽
Juno movie poster. Juno is pregnant wearing a stripe top (orange and white) with a skirt on over jeans and brown runners, looking defiantly at the camera. Michael Cera a skinny white man is wearing a maroon top and yellow short shorts, looking confused.
The background is orange and white stripes. There are black hand drawn figures running at the bottom of the poster

Not sure people realise how hard it's been recently for artists to survive, or how deeply appreciated every single order is. If you can't buy something, it makes a huge difference just to share our work. If you can't share our work, a little sacrifice to the Old Gods on our behalf means a lot, too 💜

A huge number of us are or will be carers at some point in our lives and the lack of either respect or support by so many politicians, including the leader of the country, for the enormous work done and the emotional and physical toll it takes is infuriating. Completely out of touch.
