Adjacent to their salaries is also the administrative work of all those cops filing essentially the same report. Then the massive gigs of bodycam footage. That all become hours of further tax payer money, twice, if there are charges pressed, both DAs and Public Defenders have to spend time on that.

At the time I went by, I didn't see anything occurring (whatever happened had already happened) so I'm going to follow up. We saw PPB data at a recent Council meeting showing that more officers respond to each call now than in the past - this is an efficiency AND public safety concern I share.

Why are SIXTEEN COPS who make $70 an hour,minimum, required to arrest 1 homeless man in a sweatshirt with a couple plastic bags. There are still 8 of them just milling around out there, doing nothing. Leaning against cars, drinking coffee, blocking traffic. This is my tax money, wasted.

I think there's a tension between how people think of social media vs other places where it might be used, along with the existing brevity vs. detail I personally spend more time with the photos here than in a powerpoint so I naturally want to be more descriptive, and balancing that is tough
